Terry O'Neil

Terry O'Neil

Terry O'Neil is one of the world's most collected photographers. His works hang in galleries and private collections worldwide. Terry, more than anyone, captured iconic images of the people who influenced the generations of the sixties, seventies and eighties.

Handheld is working with Terry to make his works available in new digital formats and create new ways of exploiting his photographs outside of his gallery exhibitions.

We launched an innovative iPad app in March 2012 called Goddesses. This app features 100 iconic images of the most famous and beautiful woman of the last fifty years. The app contains exclusive video footage of Terry talking about each photo, from Audrey Hepburn, to Brigitte Bardot to Amy Winehouse and even HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Handheld arranged for Terry to make a personal appearance at London's Apple store in Covent Garden in March 2012 to talk about the App and his life photographing the stars.

During 2012 Handheld will be working with Terry on an app to celebrate 50 years of the Rolling Stones including photos covering all stages of the Stones' career, accompanied by video footage and interviews.

Terry O'Neil is the only photographer to have been on the set of all James Bond movies starring Connery, Moore, Lazenby and Brosnan. He has a collection of many behind the scenes shots which have never been seen before. To celebrate 'Fifty years of Bond', Handheld is working with Terry to create a package of content utilising multi media channels.
